About

I'm from everywhere. Born in New Jersey, raised in New York, Arkansas, and Maine. My childhood was one marked by transition after transition. I was—and still am—always excited for the next big thing, no matter what that thing is. As long as I had a book in my hand, I was content.

From a young age, I wanted to be a writer. Like many kids, I spent a lot of time scribbling stories and stapling them together to share with family members. Self-publishing at its finest. I wrote mixed-up fairy tales and drew comic books in which I was the superhero. As a teenager, I hand-wrote a fantasy novel about dragon riders and spent hours writing collaborative fantasy stories on RPG message forums. Throughout all of the changes I experienced throughout childhood, one thing was certain: I was going to be a writer.

I left Maine to attend college in Arkansas, a little unsure of what I wanted to do other than write. Eventually, I enrolled in my school's teaching program and fell in love with secondary education. I've taught middle and high school English for the past four years, and my favorite thing about teaching is seeing my students get excited about their own writing.

I currently live in west Tennessee with my husband, daughter, and two dogs. I (attempt to) write every day, and most of my work falls into the speculative young adult/new adult fiction genres. My debut novel AMBROSIA was published in October 2019 by Authors 4 Authors Publishing.
